In the contemporary era, where various digital processing techniques are possible, it has become feasible to observe the Earth, convert the resulting numerical data into acoustics or melodies, and listen to it as perceptible air vibrations (= sound). This transformation of data into audible form is referred to as sonification. While it is now possible to bring sounds that were not directly audible into the human audible range, the question arises: can it truly be called “music,” and what intentional efforts are required for it to be broadly recognized as such? This research aims to merge satellite data sonification with conventional music. Rather than relying on complete mathematical randomness, the goal is to explore sounds that leverage the “random regularities” inherent in the natural world.
